The game offers every topic whose requirement is met, in the order it prefers them.

Are you a guard?
I am the elder of the {Ekiro} clan. I command {Garkai's} guards and hunters. Nothing happens in this city that I'm not made aware of; you'd be wise to remember.

What does an elder do in {Garkai}?
No elder has one job, nor does any elder do the same job as another. Personally, I have the final say in new recruits. I help invent a training curriculum for the guards and assign our current squads to their proper posts.
Though, I have very little idea how {Sokunin Tsuki} or {Urashima Sako} run their clans.

So old!
I am the proper age to lead. That is why I've been made elder of the {Ekiro} clan. Nothing happens in this city that I'm not made aware of; you'd be wise to remember.

What is, 'Elder'?
Yes, that is my position in the city. *The elf pauses, trying to think of a way you may comprehend.* I train the {Karu} in the green armor you see roaming around.

What role does your clan play in {Garkai}?
We have guarded the city since the time of the {Three Brothers}; a majority of us, anyway. We defend {Garkai} from threats both internal and external. Most of us don our first set of armor and begin training as soon as we learn to walk.
- Those of us who don't act as guards hunt and provide the village with fresh meat and herbs from the wilderness. In a way, they also protect the well-being of our people, albeit in a different way than the guards.

What can you tell me about {Garkai}?
The conversation forks on what the game checks, in this order:
Otherwise
It's well-fortified and our sentries ever-vigilant. We make our own law out here and all who break it are judged fortwith. No imperial courts or waiting around for a {Sazziad} prisoner's escort - only swift punishment at the people's hands.

Only when any of these holds:

Only when standing with Garkai is above Neutral
I can say we are facing challenging times. {Sazziad} emissaries keep breathing down our necks, trying to sell us their protection in exchange for our ports. They fail to mention that their protection goes hand in hand with their laws and authority.
{Garkai} has always been a self-sufficient tribe. We will overcome our difficulties without their meddling. Could they have prevented the recent attack on our temple where we couldn't? I highly doubt it.
