The game picks one. They are alternatives, in the order it prefers them.
Hello, stranger. I don't believe I've seen you here at the temple before.
My name is Nakama, and I am the Shaman of the Temple of The Three Brothers.
[Healing Hands] Why won't you care for Umarate's sick daughter?
The conversation forks on what the game checks, in this order:
Otherwise
I'll excuse your ignorance on the basis of your recent arrival.
It is not that I will not help Rhia, stranger. It is that I cannot. We know nothing about this malady's capability to spread. The sickhouse is full as it is.

And the sickhouse being in ruin only complicates everything further.

Only when standing with Garkai is above Neutral
You've dwelt in Garkai long enough to make an impression, but still know very little of our ways.
Only when the player stands LessOrEqualTo Neutral with the speaker
You have no business asking this question, nor entitlement to its answer; though I will say the following:

Not at the moment, just needed to ask a few questions.
Very well, I will answer to the best of my understanding.

Only when standing with Garkai is at most Disliked
Leave here, for you desire no peace with anyone.
The conversation ends
Only the guilty and heartbroken seem to frequent the temple grounds at this time.
Whatever renders you among the sleepless, you are welcome to remain here peacefully.
The conversation ends
I trust you've cleansed your divine pairs.

The game offers every topic whose requirement is met, in the order it prefers them.

What happened here?
The conversation forks on the quest-state check:
If false
A Kimashi found its way into the Sheru Tombs. It teleported up to the surface for just a few moments - it was time enough to leave the grounds in ruin.
I believe my Head Priest, Dento, is looking into the matter.
The conversation ends
If true
I'm sure Dento must have informed you, the Kimashi you've been tasked with eliminating teleported to the surface from down in the tombs.
It took only a few moments for it to destroy the grounds utterly.

What does a Shaman do exactly?
A Shaman is to be a leader in her temple and her community. I'm here to guide my people and to teach the Priests and Disciples.
Through me, they learn to properly please and worship our reverent spirits.

Only when the conversation's own flag ujagami is set
Tell me about the The Three Brothers.
Only the first time
It is a rather long tale, but I will speak on it briefly if you are interested.
Many centuries ago, three brothers and a sister came to the wetlands, in search of refuge.
The three brothers were named Sako, Tsuki and Ekiro. Toghether with thier sister, Isuka, they would learn to live in harmony with our harsh wetland.
Each developed a skill that made survival easier for the others.
Tsuki became a great shaper of wood and ore. Sako mastered the arts of sailing, fishing and cooking. Ekiro protected them from the dangerous creatures of the Nakibani, and provided fresh game.
Isuka treated the brothers when they were wounded or fell ill and made peace when they quarreled.
That is a summized version, I will give you this as a gift if you would like to learn more.

You wish to hear the tale again?
Yes, tell me the tale.

On second thought, I don't have the time right now.
I am always here at the temple if you wish to hear it again.

Why is this called The Temple of The Three Brothers?
In Reinuku, every temple has one or more reverenced spirits.
In Garkai, we remember and honor the brothers Sako, Tsuki, and Ekiro, the progenitors of our great tribes.

I have to go.

Farewell, Viasha.

If true
I pray your victory over the Kimashi comes swiftly and without hindrance.
