  • I'd like to purchase some potions.

The graph holds 2 copies of this topic, one per character, each continuing below.

These alchemical creations are sure to mend your wounds and add a spring to your step.

    • Opens the merchant's stock

You will surely taste the superiority in my alchemical creations.

    *He raises his eyebrow* Pity.

*He shakes his head* I'm afraid you'll have to wait until I am at my stand to purchase potions from me.

  • Who are you?

I am the potion master of Ishgana. Whether you seek a cure for an ailment or a little performance enhancer, I can provide you with concoctions of the highest quality.

    • And what's your name?

Waotoka, the potion master. My first name is for my wife and people close to me. I see little value in becoming overly familiar with passing acquaintances.

    • How did you come to be a potion master?

How did you come to be a wanderer? How does one come to be a yanaki herder? Whether you inherit it from your father or pursue it by choice, your profession is in your blood. Potioncraft happens to be in mine.

If you want to know how I attained the skill of master - practice. Study. Dedication. Only through continuous application and a ceaseless quest for improvement does one attain mastery of a subject.

  • What can you tell me about Ishgana?

A quiet village, all things considered. We receive few visitors, and I am glad for it. I welcome those who wish to purchase my services, but when I work on my potions, I like to be left alone.

No offense intended, traveler. I do not perceive you as an intruder upon my studies. Some people get the wrong impression. I do not hate company, I merely love solitude.

  • You seem to like it here.

*His lips curve upward in the slightest smile.* Any why wouldn't I? My medicinal expertise provides me with a constant stream of revenue. It is known that I require peace and quiet for my work, so most of the time, I am left alone.

I get to focus on my experiments, and the people of Ishgana get to experience their benefits. And the wilderness around us provides me with all the alchemical ingredients I need.

    • You mentioned experiments. What exactly are you working on?

I experiment with alchemy. That is all you need to know. I would be a fool to share the details with outsiders. I don't even share them with my nosy wife, bless her curious soul!

    • Wouldn't a big city be a better place for an accomplished alchemist?

It most certainly wouldn't. Too many people. Customers bursting into my shop every single day. The noise of chatty neighbors and boots on cobblestone. A thousand rabid yanaki couldn't drive me into a city. Those accursed places offer no privacy.

  • Aren't you worried about the blood cultists?

People have a tendency to worry overly much. One day there is a cult, another day there are vile beasts, yet another it's the weather, or a famine, or disease. It is in the nature of commoners to panic, but not in mine.
