Only while the quest holds the authored value

*{Jiragum} weeps to herself quietly, unconcerned by your presence.* They have to find him ... my precious {Judai}... where did he go? Why?

The conversation ends

Only when all of these hold:

  • Only when the player is racegroup_male, racegroup_elf-myst

  • Requires a check of Strength

Oh my! You're a strapping young lad, aren't you? You remind me of my son, Judai. Such a good boy, Judai. Have you been introduced yet?

The conversation ends

Only after the player has spoken to the speaker

.... Can I help you with something?

The conversation ends

Only when the player is racegroup_female

Hello dear. Are you lost?

The conversation ends

Only when the conversation's own flag manipulate is set

Why don't you go talk to {Taiyo} ....

Only when the player is racegroup_male

... Oh, you again ...

The conversation ends

Only when the player is racegroup_dwarf

Hello again, dear! How's my favorite elven adventurer today?

What the player can raise (4)

The game offers every topic whose requirement is met, in the order it prefers them.

Only while Family Ties is started

  • What can you tell me about %Ryoshi Sako%?

The conversation forks on the graph-variable check:

    If True

My father was the best {Sako} that ever lived! He did so much for {Garkai}.

We always had fresh game hunted for us, and whenever {Garkai} was under attack, he was one of the first to grab his bow and step up. He truly earned his spot in the {Sheru}.

    The conversation ends

    If False

My father was the best {Sako} that ever lived ...

He didn't just sit around miserable, getting drunk and hating his job. Unlike these cowards, he earned his spot in the {Sheru Tomb}. The {Ekiros} won't even step foot in the tombs to clear the monsters. Ancestors have mercy.

    The conversation ends

  • Tell me about yourself.

    Only the first time

*The {karu} shoots you a very distrusting look.* I'm contently wed, I've begotten two children, and I'm actually incredibly busy right now.

    • I was thinking more like ... what's your name?

*She shoots you another very unpleasant look.* What's it to you? Why don't you go ask one of the {Tsuki's} wives their life story?

      • I'm only trying to be courteous ....

*She speaks in a disenchanted tone* My name is {Jiraguma}, and your curteousy falls through unwanting hands ... I trust that's all then?

        Returns to an earlier point

      • I mean ... I probably will eventually, but what's that have to do with this?

*Her countenance distorts in visible irritation.* All right, outsider! If it'll stop your persisting, my name is {Jiraguma}. The pleasure is all yours, I'm sure.

        Returns to an earlier point

      • Look lady, I've hit a bit of a rough patch, it'd be fantastic if you'd just cooperate.
    • You're married? Wait! You don't honestly think I was—!?

I don't put anything past your kind anymore—

    • All right then ... did you grow up here?

My whole life. Loved it growing up; until I'm a Karu Elf / I'm NOT a Karu Elf and {sazziads} started coming in.

Every year more outsiders show up for the market. Every year I see more soldiers than the one before. It's only a matter of time before the {Empire} starts demanding our resources ...

Hopefully I'll be long gone by then ...

      • That bad, huh?

The conversation forks on the graph-variable check:

        If True

*{Jiraguma's} eyes move instantly to {Taiyo}, then swiftly return focus to you.* You have no idea.

        Returns to an earlier point

        If False

        You have no idea ...

        Returns to an earlier point

      • Oh. Well. Thanks for letting me know...

Sure thing ... *You hear the disinterest in the elf's tone.*

        Returns to an earlier point

      • [Say nothing] *You don't quite know how to respond.*

*{Jiraguma} stares blankly forward* Buried beneath hundreds, if not thousands of fireflies ...

    • Do you ... like ... fireflies?

They're one of the only honest and beautiful things left in this swamp ...

      Returns to an earlier point

    • I had other questions.

      Ask then...

      The conversation ends

    I've discussed what I wil, {vemani} ...

    The conversation ends

  • What can you tell me about the {Sako} region?

The conversation forks on the graph-variable check:

    If True

We prepare the best dishes in all of {Garkai}! Have you met {Oba} yet?

He's head chef over at the cookery. He's friendly to new faces, especially ones that show up with coin to spend. *She lets out a small chuckle. *

    The conversation ends

    If False

    Only the first time

As the name would imply, it was started by the {Sako} family's ancestors after the {great schism} of {Garkai}.

Now they mostly float around the swamp all day, whining about work. If you're going to get to know any of them, let it be {Oba}; he cooks an unbelievably good meal, and he's always with a smile on his face. A difficult person to dislike, even for me.

    • You don't like the {Sakos}?

It's not that I don't like them. I wouldn't go so far as to say that. They're just a very whiney lot. They're always complaining about something.

      The conversation ends

    • What's wrong with the {Sakos}?

Nothing unforgivable. It's just rare that a word of satisfaction passes their lips. Everything is a complaint.

      The conversation ends

    • You sound bitter.

I am, boy, but not because the {Sakos} irritate me so. I promise that would be there regardless ...

      • Changes how the speaker feels about the player

{Jiraguma Sako}. *the elf gives off an artificial smile.* Now, who might you be?

    • [player], at your service!

The conversation forks on the graph-variable check:

      If True

*{Jiraguma} gives a soft smile and lets out a warm voice* Such a nice man.

      The conversation ends

*{Jiraguma's} eyes glisten in a very comforting and familiar way you can't quite explain.* A lovely name, dear. Lovely.

    • I'm simply a traveler. Nice to meet you.

    • What's up with you? Something's ... off ...

Requires a Medium check of Psychic Magic

The conversation forks on the graph-variable check:

      If True

*{Jiraguma's} eyes intensify and sharpen, but her tone does not change* I'm afraid I don't know what you mean.

      The conversation ends

      If False

*{Jiraguma's} eyes intensify and sharpen, but her tone does not change* My dear, where ever did that come from?

      • Just a feeling ...

*{Jiraguma's} voice starts to flatten and become disenchanted.* Well ... I'm deeply sorry you feel that way dear. Anyway ... was there anything else I can help you?

        The conversation ends

      • Sorry, forget I said anything.

        Of course, dear.

        The conversation ends

      • I can't put my finger on it, but something about this interaction is <i>off</i>.

{Jiraguma Sako}. *the elf gives off an artificial smile.*

    You know that!

    The conversation ends

  • Did you grow up here in Garkai?

I've been right here in the {Sako} Region my whole life! No better life in Ardenfall, than life on the lake. Father was a fisherman, husband's a fisherman and now, I have the great pleasure of saying my son has grown into a very celebrated fisherman here in our little region.
