The game picks one. They are alternatives, in the order it prefers them.

Only when all of these hold:

The tombs have fallen back to their natural silence. I assume this is a result of your work.

Only while The Branches Below is unstarted

*The Karu that stands before is visibly distressed.* G-greetings, outsider. If you've come seeking work, you've arrived at an opportune time.

There's a Kimashi down in the Sheru Tombs causing all sorts of havoc for us at the temple.

If you could slay such a creature, I would see to it you were rewarded justly.

Only when the quest's character is dead

  • I cleared the entire tomb earlier - Kimashi and all.

By The Brothers! Could it be? The Kimashi is gone?

Haryiata, stranger. I cannot begin to tell you what this means to us. Here - please accept these gifts.

    • You're welcome. I'm happy to have helped!

Your assistance is greatly appreciated. I will see to it the Shaman recognizes you as a welcome guest at the temple.

Anzetoru, stranger. May our paths cross again.

      The conversation ends

    • No need to thank me. I simply neutralized a threat. Any convenience to you is a mere coincidence.

Nevertheless, your assistance is greatly appreciated. I will see to it the Shaman recognizes you as a welcome guest at the temple.

Anzetoru, stranger. May our paths cross again.

      The conversation ends

    • Yes, well, you have quite a mess to clean up down there.

Not to worry, it's the Disciples duty to clean the tombs.

Your assistance is greatly appreciated. I will see to it the Shaman recognizes you as a welcome guest at the temple.

Anzetoru, stranger. May our paths cross again.

      The conversation ends

  • I already killed a Kimashi while I was exploring the tombs.
  • I can take out that Kimashi for you.

Thank goodness! I was beginning to fear I would have to go down there myself.

The entrance to the tombs is located at the bottom of a staircase within the stump of the great Sheru.

You'll find the Sheru stump on the northern ends of the grounds. I'll be here at the temple when you finish or if you have any questions.

May The Three Brothers bless you, Viasha - and may the Sheru's roots guide you.

    The conversation ends

  • I'll accept the job if the coin is right.

If you manage to kill the beast, I can promise you a payment of at least [payment] Yubal.

    How does that sound?

    • You have a deal.
    • I'm not setting foot in those tombs for less than 1000 Yubal.

Requires a Medium check of Speech

Fine, fine, yes. Whatever you want, just get that Kimashi out of our tombs!

So, then - 1000 Yubal. Do we have a deal?

      Returns to the previous choices

    • Sorry, you're on your own for now.

The conversation forks on the graph-variable check:

      If True

Really? Even after the negotiation went your way?

Oh, well. If you change your mind, I'll leave my offer of 1000 Yubal on the table.

If you decide you could use the extra coin, you can come find me here at the grounds.

Did you need anything else, Viasha?

      The conversation ends

      If False

Oh, all right then. If you decide you could use the extra coin, you can come find me here at the grounds.

Did you need anything else, Viasha?

      The conversation ends

  • Does Garkai not help you in matters such as this?

The guards help us with many problems in the tombs. From clearing out the Hollowhorn to the occasional Neko or Karuntak.

However, none of them are prepared to fight a Kimashi.

    Returns to the previous choices

  • Is that what made this mess?

Yes. The Kimashi teleported up to the surface momentarily and rampaged through the temple grounds.

Luckily, everyone was able to find some sort of cover and no one got hurt.

After the Kimashi is removed, we have every intention of restoring the temple to its former glory.

    Returns to the previous choices

  • Sorry, you're on your own for now.

Only while The Branches Below is started

Let me know when those filthy things are exterminated.

Only while The Branches Below is unstarted

Have you considered my offer?

What the player can raise (4)

The game offers every topic whose requirement is met, in the order it prefers them.

Only while the quest holds the authored value

  • The Kimashi has been taken care of, along with all other monsters in the tomb.

*The elf seems stunned.* By The Brothers - thank you, traveler.

I would have never expected such kindness from an outsider.

    • You're welcome.

Now, for the matter of your reward - here you are.

Thank you, {Viasha}, for your assistance in restoring our {temple}. I will see to it the {Shaman} knows you are a welcome guest.

      The conversation ends

    • What I expect is extra compensation for the extra work.

Of course, we intended to compensate you for the additional effort. There's no need to take that tone, Viasha.

Here - for your assistance in restoring our {temple}. I will see to it the {Shaman} knows you are a welcome guest.

      The conversation ends

Only while the quest holds the authored value

  • Your Kimashi has been slain.

*The elf goes slack with instance relief.* Thanks be to The Three Brothers - and thank you, traveler.

Hopefully, the temple will enjoy this peace for many years to come.

    • You're welcome.

Excuse my excitement. As for the matter of your reward - here you are.

Thank you, {Viasha}, for your assistance in restoring our {temple}. I will see to it the {Shaman} knows you are a welcome guest here.

      The conversation ends

    • About the pay.
    • You almost got me killed down there ...

I beg your pardon. You and your brazen almost got you killed. You accepted a commission - one which you completed, might I add.

Speaking of which - your compensation. Perhaps that will help soothe you?

Continues where this conversation already went

Only while The Branches Below is unstarted

Only when all of these hold:

  • I have questions about the Sheru Tombs.

    Such as?

    • Where did you say the Sheru Tombs were?

The conversation forks on the graph-variable check:

      If True

      Are you well, Viasha?

I saw you enter the shrine at the foot of the ancient Sheru stump and descend the eastern staircase with my own eyes.

      Returns to the previous choices

      If False

Our main shrine is on the northernmost end of the temple complex, built into the base of the giant and ancient Sheru stump.

Enter the shrine area, and to your left, you will see a staircase leading you down to the tombs.

Continues where this conversation already went

    • What are the Sheru Tombs?

The Sheru Tombs are a burial for the mightiest of Garkai. Heros of old, great protectors and leaders. Generations of Shaman.

The halls themselves are the large hollow roots of the {Great Sheru}.

      Returns to the previous choices

    • Other than the Kimashi, what can I expect to find down there?

I'm sure a javak or two has burried their way down there. My last venture down, I know I smelt the reek of hollowhorn spore.

And none of the disciples will go anywhere near the shrine - swear they all heard a {niko}.

      Returns to the previous choices

    • Is there any gear you advise to keep on hand down there?

Anything that will help restore your vitality in a pinch.

The tomb's are very extensive, and who knows what blasphemous new tunnels and burrows those creatures have made.

      Returns to the previous choices

    • That's all I wanted to talk about.

      Very well.

      The conversation ends
