The game picks one. They are alternatives, in the order it prefers them.
Only while Kill Worm is succeeded
By the spirits, my Wazumo are in a frenzy! They’re spinning silk like I’ve never seen - stronger and finer than anything I’ve handled before!
I slayed a great Wazumo deep within the Dyashumo Temple-Mine.
So it’s true - you’ve slain Dyashumo. Hah! You’ve done me a greater service than you know!
My thanks, [player]. What you’ve done for me and my family is no small thing… and I’ll remember it.

You sealed it? Damned fool! I told you to kill Dyashumo, not rock her back to sleep!
That frenzy could’ve given me more silk than my family’s seen in generations! And now? This may have doomed this plantation entirely!
You knew it wasn't a demon? And you only meant to kill it for gain?
Of course I knew! My family’s dealt with that creature for generations. Call it a demon, call it a beast - it doesn’t matter.
I meant to end it, yes… and profit from it. Is that so shocking? This land is my livelihood, and you’ve just bled it dry.
With that I bid you farewell. Please leave this property at once.

If you’re here for silk, I’m afraid you’ve come at a bad time. The Wazumo have stopped producing. Thought I... I fear the worst.
I fear something far below Gan has shifted… fallen into dormancy.
I sealed the great Dyashumo away for another century, ending the quakes.

WHAT?

You had no business interfering! Pesky outsider!
We’re done here - leave my property.

[Lie] I'm afraid I wouldn't know.
Then I’ll remain in the dark, I suppose.
In any case, my silk stores are thin, and what remains will fetch a higher price than ever - still, you’re welcome to browse.

Only while Kill Worm is started
So long as the ground continues to quake, I can only assume the demon endures.
So what have you come for?
The conversation ends
Only when the game's own check passes. The compendium cannot name what it reads (GET [ CANACCEPTQUEST ]).
If you're here to purchase silk, I'm afraid you've come at a bad time.
The quakes passing through Gan have greatly disturbed my Wazumo - they’re skittish, uncooperative, and barely yielding a thread.
If those foolish Wazumo Herders would step aside and let me end the quakes, silk might yet return.
Only after the player has spoken to the quest's character
What do you have against the Wazumo Herders? They seem quite rational to me.
Very little, save for the fact that they revere a demon and call it divine. Their stubborn rites and superstitions do nothing but prolong these tremors.
What does their religion have to do with the quakes?
I believe the being they worship beneath the Dyashimo Temple-Mine is behind the quakes. Its influence reaches across all of Gan, yet the Herders won’t let anyone near it.
Especially not a member of the Hakiya family.
I can look into to slaying the demon for you.
Bold words. If you truly mean it, I’ll not stand in your way. Someone ought to finish what my kin could not.
Though don’t think you’ll just stroll into Dyashumo. The Wazumo Herders guard the path like zealots - you’ll need to find your own way inside.
I’ll be at the plantation, should you have further questions.

If True
As I said before - the entrance to the Dyashumo is sealed by an ancient magic.
you’ll need to find your own way inside.
I had some questions.
I haven’t the time for all this, truly… but if you must, go on - ask your questions.
What proof do you have this demon exists?
I know the demon exists from old stories passed down, not worth digging through now. But something is down there. Make no mistake about that.
Returns to the previous choices
What do the Wazumo Herders have against the Hakiya family?
It’s a long story - centuries long. I’ve no time to unravel it now… but once the dust settles, perhaps we’ll share the history over a bottle of Koji.
All right, that's all I wanted to ask.
So then. Anything else?
I must leave. If I feel I can help at another time, I will return.
Hmph. I don’t recall asking for your help, stranger… but if you do return, I won’t turn it away.
The conversation ends
Are you yourself not a herder of Wazumo?
Hardly! I own Wazumo to harvest their silk, process it into goods and sell it.
A Wazumo is an animal, no more and no less. I respect their nature, yes… but to pamper and revere them? That’s utter nonsense.
How are the quakes tied to the Wazumo Herders?
I believe the entity they worship beneath the Dyashimo Temple-Mine is behind the quakes. Its influence reaches across all of Gan, yet the Herders won’t let anyone near it.
Especially not a member of the Hakiya family.
What kind of silk do you normally sell?
The graph connects this choice to nothing, so the conversation stops here.
Only while Kill Worm is succeeded
Well now - look who returns! And not a tremor in sight... I’ll be damned.
