Hello, traveler. Did you get a chance to ask the ill {Karu's} father about %her symptoms%?

Only while the quest holds the authored value

Do you have the ingredients I asked for young / <player_gender = male ? "gurdayul : "gurdayat">?

What the player can raise (5)

The game offers every topic whose requirement is met, in the order it prefers them.

  • The daughter of a {Sako} is terribly ill. Might you know a way to help her?

I suppose with the {temple} in disarray as it is, there's nary time to spend on everyone. What is it that's wrong with the child?

    • Her horns are brittle. She's jaundiced and running a fever.

The symptoms strike me as {grey fever}, a long-forgotten ailment by most, indeed. If not, a variant that I am confident would be smitten by similar biological forces.

A treatment for {grey fever} exists, I have most of the ingredients here, in fact. The antidote is composed of primarily pod-familiar ingredients such as {Venuki} leaves and {Hollowhorn Fungus}.

*The venerable elf pauses to clear her throat.* What I'll need you to retrieve: the marrow of a {Karuntak} - most easily extracted from a tooth, and a binding agent to hold it all together.

You can find Karuntak through various places through out the Nakibani. The binding agent, though less fearsome, is a bit trickier. The specific substance I'll need is the residue of a rare ruin flower called Kazetama.

The ruins of Detsukoto in the forest will be the only place around here you'll get your hands on a Kazetama. I'll mark the ruin on your map ... I await your safe return, gurdayul / gurdayat.

      Zin Greshi ...

    • She's very sick. Bed-ridden, in fact.

While that is terribly unfortunate, I need to know her symptoms. Where is her pain? How long has this been happening? Things of that nature. Get me this information, and perhaps I can assist you.

  • [Give Healer ingredients] I sure do. *You firmly pat your rucksack.*

Splendid! You must be a very special {[player_race]} to have taken down a {karuntak}, or had the coin to purchase a tooth ... well, anyway, I shall ready the antidote.

All right! Take this salve. Saturate the palms of her hands as well as the forehead.

The effects won't be immediate, but she will get better relatively quickly. Also, I would leave my name out of it until she is better ...

The town has always had somewhat of a distrust for me over the years ... but, that's for another time. Go. Take this to the girl.
