Phase 1: Talk to the Nasuke's
Objectives
Objective 1: Talk to Kioko Nasuke about Yugen's offer
Journal: If I am to get anywhere with this, I should begin by speaking with the Nasuke family. Perhaps I can find some leeway where Yugen could not.
Failure: Kioko Nasuke will not sell the fiber. She made that clear before I could finish my offer.
Objective 2: Talk to Kioko's husband about Yugen's proposal
Hidden objective
Failure: Shojiro Nasuke was no more welcoming than his wife. He hid behind shrugs and small talk, but the answer was the same: no.
Objective 3: Clear the Nasuke Homestead's Ganura paddies of Snappers
Hidden objective
Journal: Kioko refused to speak, but said she might reconsider listening if I deal with the snappers infesting her Ganura paddies.
Success: I have cleared the Ganura paddies of Snappers.
Objective 4: Acquire a sample of Akagian Cotton for Yugen the Silk
Journal: Yugen the Silk has asked that I secure a sample of Akagian Cotton - no ordinary cloth, by his telling, but a rare weave grown and spun only by the Nasuke family. Their homestead lies just beyond the outskirts of Akaga.
Success: I have the Akagian Cotton. The Nasuke were reluctant, but I secured a sample all the same. All thats left is to present it to Yugen back in Akaga.
Objective 5: Clear the Ogobi at the bridge where Shojiro likes to fish
Hidden objective
Journal: Shojiro said he will sign the documents and give me a sample of the cotton—if I clear the Ogobi nesting under the old stone bridge where he likes to fish. He says if I keep following the road away from Akaga, I will see it stretching over a lake.
Success: I have taken care of the Ogobi for Shojiro.
Objective 6: Inform Shojiro the Ogobi are gone

The Nasukes are being unreasonable. Every conversation circles back to the same dead end. I will have to take a sample for myself … or return to Yugen and tell him the deal is finished.
