This is the Three Thunders inn, outsider. It is a place of joy, laughter, and drink, although these are grim times. Please, stay out of trouble. A bed and drink is available, if you so desire.

Only after the player has spoken to the speaker

Oh, hello again, welcome back to the Seven Thunders Inn! How can I help you, dear?

What the player can raise (4)

The game offers every topic whose requirement is met, in the order it prefers them.

Only when the speaker's routine sets the authored flag

  • What food and drink is available?

The graph holds 2 copies of this topic, one per character, each continuing below.

We have the finest aged wines, dried meats, milk and cheeses. Take a look.

    • Opens the merchant's stock

May your belly be full and your heart warm.

When you are hungry, feel free to return.

*She shakes her head firmly* I'm only selling meals when I'm in the Inn. Can't I have a moment of peace?

  • I'd like a bed for the night.

Our pillowcases are plump with Itsaru feathers, you will have the finest sleep.

*She tuts.* If you change your mind, I'm always here.

  • What is history behind the name? It seems rather specific.

Ah, not many people ask about that one.

It is a very curious story, however. Have you heard about 'Vadhe The Thunder-Born'?

    • Vadhe? Wait, you mean Vadherilan, Lord of Thunder?! Of course I've heard of him!

*She claps her hands, happy like small child finding a common topic with another.* Exactly! Different names, same person!

I loved this story, as a child, you know. But I am surprised you know him even under rarer name - but maybe, it is more popular among your people. Hmm...

Still, why did I pick such name for my inn, dear! Let me answer that.

Vadhe was powerful wizard, a companion of Ishgana, blessed with power by knowledge he gained in rite of self sacrifice. He challanged seven powerful spirits of thunder to a test of his endurance. He was already a legend in making, before that...

The legend says that he stood on atop of the mountain during the thunderstorm and yelled "Struck me, like you strike the wood, the steel and iron! Fell me - and my soul will be yours!"

"But if I shall withstand your rage and power, ye will be mine to serve as I please!" The thunders agreed, roaring their elemental curses and hit him, all at once.

The first one took his sight, the second smell, the third touch, fourth his breath, sixth his heartbeat and seventh reached to take his very soul, as a victor. But it turned out that he was still alive, enduring, as he grabbed the last thunder with his hand! *Her eyes gleam.*

"You bested us, mortal! Oath is an oath and the pact is sealed! So now, with us, you are reborn! Reborn! REBORN!" *She almost yells the last words and claps her hands again.* And so, he became The Thunder-born and sired first children to use the elemental magic of thunder.

My family claims to be one of his lines, dear. *She smiles, proudly* Hence the name.

    • I'm afraid I haven't. Care to tell me about him?
    • I did, once or twice - can you remind me?
    • I'm actually busy at the moment, perhaps some other time.

      Of course, dear. Of, course.

      The conversation ends

  • What can you tell me about your clan?

Ah, our big-small family, eh? *A chuckle.* We're not wealthy people, as you can see, but we're proud of who we are.

Each family here has their own job ordained to them by the Ori Tree. My family, as you can see, owns the Yurt inn.

Otherwise ... we are simple and ancient people, as free as the wind. Somedays I swear we'll outlast even the Empire.

    • You mentioned the empire, how do you feel abol about them?

Empire, dear, is something else. *She says, as her tone changes to serious, for first time in your talk.* There is something about them that may yet shake the world itself. I can feel it, you know. When the air from East blows, I can smell the change in the air.

I believe you will see this for yourself, for some reason. *There is something assuring in her smile.* Whatever you do, remember to be yourself. And to be free - freedom of the Wind may go with you.

      • Much work, at hand of Empire... even here. -Especially- here.

Always work for one like you, dear. The wheel rolls always - conflicts won't end... for you, or with you, for that matter. But I would prefer to see ones like you safe. You seem decent enough.

      • I know what you mean, for some reason.

Only when someone the data does not name is racegroup_elf-sand

Looking at you, I am not surprised. *She laughs, silently, but still seriously.* Do drink my health in the future, Sand Elf, if this greatness ever comes to pass and remember me fondly.

      • * You feel words coming onto you.* Much will reveal itself in oncoming days. I wonder, for the better?

*She looks you deep into the eyes and you can swear you can feel ozone in the air.* Who can tell, if not Spirits? The world is changing, always, but this is time of change... we shall see where it lead us. Go now, with my blessing, One-Who-See.

      • I... I see. Hmm, I think we should change the topic, you know.
      • Elves are not only power on the continent, you know.

Only when someone the data does not name is racegroup_dwarf

Oh, of course, dearie. *She laughs.* I know it as well as any - I travelled fair bit in my days. But we are in Ardenfall and so I speak only about future for our dear homeland. About other places... what can I know? *She shrughs.*

    • And what is the deal with that big tree, over there?

Ah, dear. *She laughs.* You would really do better if you asked our Shrinemaiden about that, rather than me. I am not the best explainer of such things. Ori Tree is part of us and our culture for ages.

It is something which you will never feel, but dread not. Well, you can always marry into one of the clans, but I did not suggest that. *She winks.* Our Ancestors are always with us... and that is all what I will say.

    • Actually, about something else...

      The conversation ends

  • What things should I see around here?

Ah, not that much, to be honest. We are not Tonaki, that is to be sure. But we have plenty of useful places.

We have alchemist, there is our inn, of course: if you need a healer, go to our shrine - our dear Shrinemaiden will help you, without a doubt. The Windsufer can help you get to different places quicker than on your feet... explore a bit, dear. It isn't huge village.

  • I think I should go now. Thank you.

The graph connects this choice to nothing, so the conversation stops here.
